Book Review: Scorching lies by C.M Nyx

***This is a review of an ARC sample in exchange for an honest review*** This book Scorching Lies was a hype among some groups on booktok and all were talking good things about this book. I applied to the arc reading and finally got the book and I doved in head first in this story. This is the debut book written by C.M. Nyx . This book is the first in the series and it started out well I would say. Here is a brief description of this book on Goodreads ; I had everything, a family, safety, comfort, I was the heiress to my fathers empire, but that all came burning down, leaving me scarred and alone. If that wasn't enough, the lies started coming to the surface. The betrayal blindsided me and I was left broken and lying on the ground of my own personal hell. My enemies were now lined up, waiting for the chance to make me bleed. My former friends had their hands wrapped around my throat, trying to snuff out the last of my family's bloodline, all for revenge. Ryker was the most vici

Book Review: 'A Curse for True Love' by Stephanie Garber

This is the third book in the Once Upon a Broken Heart series . I would say a good conclusion to the series. Evangeline Fox ventured to the Magnificent North in search of her happy ending, and it seems as if she has it. She’s married to a handsome prince and lives in a legendary castle. She doesn’t know what she has lost, and her husband is determined to make sure she never finds out . . . but first he must kill Jacks, the Prince of Hearts. Reviewing 'Lightlark' by Alex Aster: My Thoughts

A Fellow booktoker recommended me this book. She talks about it all the time and makes really catchy videos featuring this Duology. I got interested and purchased this book. Lightlark is the first book in the series written by Alex Aster. I got to know some pretty interesting facts about the Author and how this book was published. You should learn it too this is not my story to tell 😅. Anyhow I started reading this book in March and finished it one week. Somehow I got late in writing and reviewed all the books I read in March. So now I am starting again. This is the brief of this book on Goodreads; Welcome to the Centennial. Every 100 years, the island of Lightlark appears to host the Centennial, a deadly game that only the rulers of six realms are invited to play. The invitation is a summons—a call to embrace victory and ruin, baubles and blood. The Centennial offers the six rulers one final chance to break the curses that have plagued their realms for centuries. Each ruler has somet

A Review of The Ballad of Never After written by Stephanie Garber

I finished reading this stupidly beautiful amazing ethereal second book from the series Once Upon a Broken Heart written by my all-time favorite author Stephanie Garber. I used to watch videos of this second book where people made it seem like this book is something else. I did not believe it for a second............. until I read it.  The first book was good...giving of beautiful cozy fairytale vibe but this second one......I have to say Stephanie changed the game in this one. So, Let's get to review but first here is the Goodreads description of the book; After Jacks, the Prince of Hearts, betrays her, Evangeline Fox swears she'll never trust him again. Now that she’s discovered her own magic, Evangeline believes she can use it to restore the chance at happily ever after that Jacks stole away. The Awakening | Book 1 of Zodiac Academy Series written by Caroline Peckham and Sizanne Valenti - A Review

Alright, here I am, sharing my thoughts on the first book The Awakening from Zodiac Academy series written by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti . I decided to start reviewing this series as it falls under the 'enemies to lovers ' and 'bullies romance' genres, which are right up my alley. I'm a sucker for this type of book and I am always on the hunt for such books. Someone made a video of this book on TikTok and I was like I had to read it. So, I began reading the book and I fell into a rabbit hole of Magic Academy, hot assholes, and alternative Fae world. It felt like diving into a more mature version of Harry Potter. Needless to say, I absolutely loved this first installment.
